Laura DeWitt is a model, influencer and owner of a wedding accessories design business called Magnolia Ave. When it came time to choose the wedding dresses for her big day, she turned to a studio that operates from Melbourne – Kyha Studios. The work process took about two years, as the bride tells Vogue, during which two main looks were chosen that represent the style and personality of the beautiful fashionista.
The first dress was a modern interpretation of classic princess dresses. The bride wore a dress consisting of a rich tulle skirt and a bodice-cut top, with plays of transparency and a dropped waistline.
The second look was already much less traditional, and consisted of a bralette embroidered with beads, worn together with a bolero and a tight, long skirt. “I felt amazing in both,” concluded Laura.
As a designer, of course it was important for her to give her creative input, when the selected shoes are part of a collaboration she created with an Australian bridal shoe designer. The jewelry, too, was selected and matched from her personal brand.
The bride also had a clear vision for the make-up and hair look: a natural but sculpted look for the first look, and a bold element of feline eyeliner for the second unconventional look. The hair was arranged in the form of an effortless skull and successfully closed the beautiful bridal vision.
