The 2022 budget of the RA Government was discussed at the March 28 meeting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. The report approved by the decision N 234-A of February 28 “On the report on the progress and results of the RA government program (2021-2026) in 2021”.

RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan informed that the ministry will receive 22 projects in 2021. 214.7 billion drams were allocated, 202.4 billion drams were spent, the performance was 94.3 percent.

According to the minister, this is a good indicator, because the amount of performances is increasing year by year. For example, in 2020, the performance was 84 percent.

The minister referred to the major projects implemented in the reporting year.

In order to implement the unified route network, competitions were organized for the selection of unified operators of regular routes by motor transport in Kotayk, Ararat marzes and Vagharshapat region of Armavir marze.

“2022 in the middle, Kotayk region will be served by 150 new minibuses, 80 of them are already in Armenia, 70 are on the way. In Etchmiadzin, the process is being carried out effectively, but in Ararat and Armavir, the process is a little slower, because the participants of the competition are in court proceedings with each other,” said the minister.

The minister informed that this year it is planned to announce tenders in 3 regions.

2021 a new system of the motor vehicle technical inspection process was introduced, thanks to which the requirement for technical inspection tickets was replaced by an electronic control system. It is expected that through the new regulations, the vicious phenomenon of not conducting a real technical inspection will be excluded as much as possible, and the level of road traffic safety will increase.
