Moscow supports the construction of the “Crossroads of Peace” announced by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the fourth stage of the North-South road, which is financed through the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk announced this in Yerevan.

“The volume of support in this line is now 150 million dollars, and the decision to support the construction of the Kajaran tunnel is currently being agreed upon by the bodies of the fund, where the volume of support will be 200 million dollars,” said Overchuk.

According to him, the entire investment portfolio of the fund in Armenia, from 10 projects, is estimated at 533 million dollars, and another 300 million dollars of projects are currently under discussion.

“Cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy is an extremely important topic in our bilateral relations, and we are grateful that a decision was made to extend the period of operation between the Armenian nuclear power plant and the Russian side. As for the new power units, negotiations are underway here as well,” Overchuk said.

He also informed that from January to September 2023, 269 thousand tourist trips from Armenia were made in the Russian Federation.

843 thousand Russian tourists came to Armenia.
