MP Chanakian Urges President to Release Political Prisoners Under Anti-Terrorism Act

Member of Parliament Chanakian said that the President is reluctant to release the prisoners arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

He said this when he went to meet the political prisoner today (26.01.2024) at Colombo Magazine Prison.

He also insisted that amnesty should be given to the prisoners who have been in jail for the last 28 years.

He also mentioned that he is trying to meet the President in person in this regard.
