New Delhi: Former Lakshadweep MP Muhammad Faisal has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the order disqualifying him from the position of MP despite the stay of the court verdict. The petition has been filed alleging that the post of MP was not restored despite the removal of disqualification and that the Lok Sabha Secretariat is adopting an illegal passive approach. Lakshadweep MP Muhammad Faisal was disqualified after he was sentenced to ten years in the attempted murder case. The Lok Sabha Secretariat issued an order in this regard on January 13, and on January 25, the Kerala High Court stayed the judgment of Faisal’s guilty plea on January 25. In this case, Faisal wrote a letter to the Lok Sabha Secretariat requesting the withdrawal of the disqualification order, but the Lok Sabha Secretariat has not yet issued an order withdrawing the disqualification.
