Museums Casa Mário de Andrade, Casa Guilherme de Almeida and Casa das Rosas bring carnival agenda
In addition to the Carnival program prepared by the institutions, Mário de Andrade will also be honored by the samba school Mocidade Alegre

The Casa Mário de Andrade, Casa Guilherme de Almeida and Casa das Rosas Museums are in a festive mood and have prepared a Carnival program that includes workshops, conversation circles and musical performances. Registration links are available at the end of the text. Among the highlights of the activities is the study group ‘Race, miscegenation and nation in Mário de Andrade’, which dialogues with this year’s samba-plot from the São Paulo school and current champion, Mocidade Alegre. Morada do Samba will honor Mário de Andrade at Carnival 2024, bringing the trips that the modernist took across Brazil with the aim of discovering this country and getting to know what “the Brazilian people” would be like.
