Reports suggest that Malaika Arora will be seen dancing in the second part of Pushpa, which stars Allu Arjun in the lead role. Malaika is a star who has been noted for many dance numbers like ‘Chaiya Chaiya’ from Mani Ratnam’s Dilse, Salman Khan’s ‘Munni Badnamuhui’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Anarkali Disco Chali’ and Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Kevvu Keka’.
Actress Samantha performed the dance number in the first part of the film. The song ‘Oh Andava’ was well received. Pushpai was Samantha’s first dance number but the actress’ performance was widely appreciated. It was reported that the actor was paid 5 crores for the three-minute song scene. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music.
Pushpa is directed by Sukumar. The first part of Pushpa presents the rise of an ordinary member of the sandalwood smuggling gang growing in the Seshachalam hills of Andhra Pradesh state. Rashmika Mandana and Fahadh Faasil were the other stars of the film. The film was a huge success financially. The shooting of the second part of the film started last month. Allu Arjun has reserved 100 days for the film. There are also reports that the star’s remuneration for the film has doubled from the first one.
Maitri Movie Makers has produced the film in association with Muttamsetty Media. The film was distributed by E4 Entertainment in Kerala.
