Odessa: The moment of the Russian attack near the Greek mission

by time news

An explosion occurred near the motorcade of Volodymyr Zelensky in Odessa, shortly before the meeting of Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the president of Ukraine. The members of the Greek mission under the Prime Minister are “in good health”.

The explosion took place 150 meters from the Greek mission. In particular, the clock showed twenty minutes before 12 noon on Wednesday (6/3) when the deafening noise from the explosion of the Russian missile in the center of Odessa took the breath away of the visitors.

In a video-document that came to light, the “mushroom” of fire that was created after the explosion can be seen:

Five dead from the strike in Odessa

Five people were killed in the place where this Russian attack took place. Moscow claimed responsibility for the missile attack, saying it hit a base of unmanned, remote-controlled watercraft. “Mission accomplished. The target was hit,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a post on social networking sites.

For its part, Ukraine says that the missile hit that particular spot because Odessa is the only outlet for Ukrainian grain and is a critical port as it is the last in the South and the Black Sea.

For Ukraine, it is clear that the hit concerns the Ukrainian president.
