Riyadh: The e-Commerce Council has called on those doing business in Saudi Arabia to obtain commercial registration. This is to ensure that customers continue to operate in accordance with their rights.

If you need a license from other departments to start an online business, you need to complete the steps. E-Commerce Council officials said the aim was to increase the credibility of e-commerce transactions, protect consumer-merchant rights and eliminate counterfeit stores.

The commercial registration was made mandatory in the context of the Ministry of Commerce’s attention to cases of non-compliance and violation of consumer rights and fraud and deception of some stores which do not have commercial documents.
