Jaffna – 14 persons belonging to six families have been affected by the mini cyclone that hit the northern part of Nainathivu this evening, said the Assistant Director of the Jaffna District Disaster Management Division, RN Suriyaraja.
As a result of the rainy weather prevailing in the Jaffna district this morning, 14 persons belonging to six families and three houses were partially damaged due to the impact of Hurricane Vysyamini in the Nainathivu North J35 Grama Sevakar Division under the Velanai Divisional Secretariat.
He further said that details of the damage will be collected through the Divisional Secretariat and forwarded to the Colombo Disaster Management Center.
