Rapper Killer Mike was led away by police in handcuffs from the Grammy Awards on Sunday night after scooping three of the music industry’s biggest prizes for rap music, witnesses said.

The Los Angeles Police Department did not provide a statement and two on-duty press officials said they had no information.

A video posted on social media showed police escorting Killer Mike through the concourse of the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles with his hands tied behind his back.

The Hollywood Reporter, citing an arena security guard, reported that Killer Mike was arrested for an unspecified offense unrelated to the Grammy Awards.

Previously, Killer Mike and his colleagues won the Grammy for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Scientists & Engineers” and Best Rap Album for “Michael.”

Born Michael Render, Killer Mike is also known for his social activism on issues such as racism and police brutality.

His agent and publicists did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
