Road Accidents in Mexico: 19 Killed in Double-Decker Bus and Truck Collision

In Mexico, road accidents are frequent. Accidents are caused by speeding, poor condition of vehicles or tired drivers. The number of cargo trucks involved in accidents is also increasing in the country.

In this case, 19 people have been killed when a double-decker bus and a truck collided in the north-west of Mexico last Tuesday. 22 people were injured.

The bus was traveling from the city of Guadalajara in Jalisco province to the city of Los Mogis in Sinaloa province with 50 passengers. A bus and a lorry collided and the bus caught fire. In this, 19 dead bodies have been recovered. Their identification is in progress.

More recently, in July 2023, 29 passengers were killed when a bus plunged off a mountain road into a valley.
