One of the biggest tournaments in the world of tennis, the Masters Tournament in Turin, is nearing completion. Today (Friday) the semi-final picture was finally determined after 22-year-old Caspar Rod defeated Andrei Rublev 6: 2, 5: 7, 6: 7 (5) at the end of two hours and 26 minutes of stubborn tennis on both sides.
Rublev dominated the first set in which he broke Rod twice and won 2: 6 thanks to wonderful tennis. His opponent recovered in the second set and managed to beat it 5: 7 after breaking the Russian in the last game. Rod and Rublev broke each other once in the third and final set, which was dragged to a tie-breaker. During the tie-breaker Rod managed to break Rublev twice and thus advance to the semi-finals where he will meet Daniel Medvedev.
In the first semi-final, 22-year-old Rod and 25-year-old Medvedev will meet, while in the second semi-final, 24-year-old Zebrav and 34-year-old Djokovic will meet.
