The 6th season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League series started yesterday (June 23). The Royal Kings started the season with a win, beating Chepauk Super Gillies in the Super Match in the first leg.

Dindigul Dragons and Ruby Trichy Warriors clashed in today’s match. Ruby Trichy Warriors won the toss and elected to field.

Murali Vijay, Amit Sathwik, Nitish Rajagopal, Aditya Ganesh (wicket keeper), Mohammad Adnan Khan, Antony Das, Saravana Kumar, Rahil Shah (captain), Poyamozhi, Jaffna Arunmozhi, Ajay Krishna.

Dindigul Dragons Team:

Hari Nishant (capt), AG Pradeep, Manibhari (wicket keeper), Vishal Vaidya, R Vivek, RS Mokit Hariharan, Laxminarayan Vignesh, M Silambarasan, Rangaraj Sudesh, Manoj Kumar, Karaparambil Monish.

Dindigul Dragons batted first and batted sluggishly. Starter AG Pradeep was dismissed for just one run while another opener and captain Hari Nishant was dismissed for 25 off 15 balls.

Ruby Trichy Warriors’ Murali Vijay (8) and Amit Chadwick (8) were out for 145 runs. After that Nitish Rajagopal and Aditya Ganesh batted well together. Batting brilliantly, Nitish scored a fifty. Nitish hit 64 off 48 balls and stood on the field till the end to end the match. They reached the target of 145 runs in 19 overs and won by 8 wickets.
