Sadovnichy mathematically predicted the transition of COVID to a mild form

by time news

Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy said that together with Academician Askar Akayev he wrote an article that provides mathematically sound forecasts for the development of the situation with coronavirus. According to the head of the university, he and his colleague came to the conclusion that in the foreseeable future, COVID-19 will become a much less dangerous disease.

“We wrote a forecast article, like mathematicians,” Sadovnichiy said. “Our forecast is that the covid will go down to an acceptable level.”

He explained that the disease will proceed “in a very mild form” or “there will be a small number of cases.” According to the forecast, this could happen as early as “early 2023”.

Such a forecast is based on the properties of the coronavirus to “adapt”, Sadovnichiy added.
