In the campaign in which they seek revenge after failing to qualify for the postseason in 2022 for the first time in 13 years, the Sounders overwhelmed the Rapids with goals from the American of Salvadoran origin Cristian Roldán, the Brazilian Héber Araújo and a ‘double’ from Jordan morris.

It was the only game of the first day of MLS played this Sunday, after the campaign opened on Saturday with thirteen games and notable victories for Atlanta United, Inter Miami or Saint Louis City, who beat Austin at home in the first duel in its history in the American league.
The first day will be completed this Monday with the Portland Timbers-Sporting Kansas City, in a match initially scheduled for Saturday and postponed due to the heavy rains that are falling these days on the West coast of the United States. Another game affected by the rain was the Los Angeles derby between Los Angeles FC and the Los Angeles Galaxy, which will finally take place on July 4.
