Abu Dhabi | Need an urgent covid-19 test to travel out of the country? Visit Drive Through PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) testing centers across the UAE. Private centers in the northern emirates charge between Dh150 and Dh300 for the test, while government-run Zeeha centers charge Dh40 for the test. How to book an appointment
1. Download the Seeha app available on Apple and Android phones.
2. After accessing the app you will see the option of Covid 19 Screening Appointment.
3. Next, tap ‘Book an appointment’ and select the ‘Personal’ section.
4. Details of categories eligible for free PCR test will be provided. Select the free test option if eligible, otherwise select I will pay for my appointment.
5. Enter personal information such as your name, date of birth, Emirates ID number, mobile number and email address.
6. Select the location of the nearest testing centers and select the available testing day.
7. Cash the check. But it should be noted that cash cannot be withdrawn if verification is not required.
8. After paying the cash, you will receive a confirmation message containing the day, time and location of the PCR test.
9. At the time of sampling, the health care worker taking your sample will give you an estimate of how long you may have to wait to get the results.
10. Result will be available through SMS and email.

AED 50 PCR test
Emirates Health Services, which operates under the UAE Ministry of Health and Defense in Sharjah, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah, completes the PCR test for Dh50. If you come in person, you can complete the inspection from the centers, but it is better to book in advance through the app.
How to book in advance
1. Download the Covid-19 EHS Riot app available on Apple and Android devices.
2. Once the app is opened, you will see the option to book PCR appointments on the home screen. Tap on Book Appointment.
3. When requiring a PCR test select the desired date range, Emirate and Center and tap ‘Search’ to view available slots.
4. Select the time slot that suits you and tap Next.
5. If it belongs to a specific category like UAE National or Children of UAE National, select it accordingly.
6. Enter Emirates ID number and contact details.
7. Next, tap Confirm.
8. A one-time password will be obtained, which needs to be confirmed to book the appointment.
Are you eligible for free PCR test?
Some categories in the UAE offer free testing. Those belonging to special categories can book free of charge Covid-19 PCR test at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company Seeha Screening Centers and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Screening Centers.
1. Native citizens and their domestic workers, whether they show symptoms or not.
2. People in high risk categories.
3. Determined people.
4. Residents above 50 years of age.
5. Residents showing symptoms of Covid-19 or who have been in contact with a positive case.
Free inspection is available only once in four months.
