The science fiction writer filled the post about the intensification of the conflict with bitter irony
The creator of the Watch Universe, Sergei Lukyanenko, advocated ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
“I would like to wish the fraternal peoples of Israel and Palestine peace, an end to the bloodshed and speedy negotiations to resolve tensions.
Every human life is priceless! I am confident that there are no problems that cannot be solved through compromise and respect for universal human rights,” the iconic science fiction writer wrote on his verified social media pages.
At the same time, Lukyanenko’s post was accompanied by a postscript that leveled the original pathos: “How easy and pleasant it is to be a humanist-pacifist when someone else’s house is on fire.”
Thus, the writer made a reference to the conflict between the central authorities of Ukraine and Donbass (and between Ukraine and Russia, which stood up for Donbass, as well as between Armenia and Azerbaijan).
At the same time, Lukyanenko parodied “peacekeeping” comments about conflicts from cultural figures who have no geographical or spiritual relationship with them.
Let us recall that at the beginning of this year, Sergei Lukyanenko stated a global crisis in world politics, saying that the world had reached a dead end, and the only way out of the crisis for humanity was armed confrontation.
