Karthik Aparam: Baba Aparajith (2), Narayan Jagadeesan (9), Sai Kishore (18) and Murugan Ashwin (7) cheated for the Tamil Nadu team. Dinesh Karthik and Baba Indrajith then teamed up to make it rain. Karthik, who played immensely, passed the century. Indrajith, who collaborated with him, scored a fifty. Indrajith (80) was out when he added 202 for the fifth wicket. Dinesh Karthik (116) gave hope. Himachal Pradesh scored 299 for 4 in 47.3 overs but could not play due to lack of light. Then, ‘VJD,’ formally (289 in 47.3 overs) declared the Himachal Pradesh team the winner. The Himachal Pradesh team won the trophy for the first time in the overall local arena. The Tamil Nadu team went to the final for the second time (2019-20, 21-22) and placed 2nd.
