One of the most important reasons for the decline of the linguistic culture of the Arab (and Iraqi) person is his distance in general, and the intellectuals (the intelligentsia) in particular, from the first incubator of the Arabic language, which is the Holy Qur’an, which is considered the safety valve for this language and the stronghold for it from extinction, as happened to many languages, which It has been forgotten and has become common knowledge, except for the Arabic language, which today is the sixth living language recognized globally, like English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and French. Unfortunately, we see that some people are often ignorant of the rules of their language, or often ignore them out of disdain for them, and they cannot judge from a book. God is a sign without making mistakes in its spelling, in addition to its meanings, interpretation, and interpretation, not to mention its grammar and eloquence, in addition to the rules of dictation in his mother tongue. His writers hardly know its name or know its meaning, and I believe that the solution to this deficiency lies in the inevitable return to the Holy Qur’an while applying what they learn from the Qur’an ( Orally and in writing) on ​​the rules of the Arabic language so that the grammatical rule becomes firmly established in their minds, as well as the origins of the language, words and their meanings, and so that they have a broad horizon through the Qur’an, which must be a starting point for learning the classical Arabic language, and secondly, an initial reading of the language’s dictionaries, especially Lisan al-Arab by Ibn Manzur. He chose Al-Sahhah, Al-Ain and the rest of the respected dictionaries, by taking each linguistic root separately and its main meanings, without branching out into the mazes of this root and so as not to lose its main meaning, because every triple root has many synonymous or homogeneous meanings, so one enters into linguistic and semantic mazes that he is rich in. The matter applies to the rules spread in grammar books, such as the explanation of Alfiyyah Ibn Malik, and the issue does not concern only those with degrees, as it is not a measure of the extent of reading and general culture.
The rules of the classical Arabic language are inescapable for the writer or intellectual, meaning that it is the language of culture (media discourse) (writing, creativity, and creation), with mastery of the correct pronunciation (reading, pronunciation, spelling, grammar, and eloquence). This mastery comes through continuous and correct reading of books and sources that deal with the language. Arabic as grammar, language, etc., and for literary and scientific encyclopedias, historical and literary sources, dictionaries and periodicals, as well as linguistic encyclopedias, so that the eloquent, correct and sober word becomes firmly established in the minds and remains on the tongues, after learning the correct spelling of the exits of the letters and fixing the grammatical movements on them in the correct manner, so that the meaning becomes consistent with the pronunciation in the minds and tongues. And imagination.
Those who engage in media discourse in all its forms and from any media outlet and platform must strengthen their linguistic taste through continuous reading more than writing, because it is one of the reasons for the formation of a person’s general culture, and they strive to strengthen their linguistic and rhetorical ability through comprehensive reading in order to refine the topics (and posts) that emerge from them that indicate a decent and far-reaching level. Avoiding absurdity and triviality, because continuous reading is the basis of culture and creativity, and secondly, so that the language of media discourse is understandable, sober, and far from the superficiality and vulgarity of colloquial dialect, and one cannot be a media person without being an active reader.
