The SRC summarized the results of the “Tax Administration Support of RA” program. Rustam Badasyan, the President of the RA SRC, Anne Luyot, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to RA, and representatives of international organizations were present.
In the context of the program funded by the French Development Agency and the efforts of the “Expertise France” organization, the presentation of the report “How much is the informal economy in Armenia and its volume in the GDP” was presented by the expert of the French Development and Research Institute Jacques Charme.
According to the report, formal employment in Armenia in 2020, which also includes the agricultural sector, is 66.8 percent, which has positive dynamics compared to previous years. The index of informal employment, including the agricultural sector, is 33.2 percent, this number speaks of the decreasing dynamics of the informal economy. By the way, the indicator of the informal economy without the agricultural branch is almost 15 percent.
The works performed in 2020 will be summarized in the coming days. All trends will be studied, which, according to the French expert, are aimed at the implementation of joint positive works.
