The president of the Santos Port Authority (APS), Anderson Pomini (photo above, in the center), was at Santos Futebol Clube on Friday (26) morning. During a visit mediated by state deputy Caio França (PSB, right), he was received by the president of Santos, Marcelo Teixeira (in white). França stated that two topics were addressed.
One, the possibility of APS sponsoring the team, similar to what state-owned companies such as Petrobras, Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil do in football.
The other is to contact port operators to help, for example, in sponsoring grassroots categories and events organized by Santos. “The idea is a closer relationship between Porto and the city’s main club,” said the deputy, who is a member of the Deliberative Council (CD) and is also acting as an unpaid “institutional advisor” for Peixe.
