False opinion about the Tamil people
A protest was staged today (19) near the UN Regional Office in Jaffna on Sunday demanding various things.
A protest has been staged at the UN to condemn the government’s misrepresentation of Sri Lanka and the Tamil people.
People carrying banners and chanting slogans such as “No to genocide, no to international investigation, Peiris to go home, do not lie” took part in the struggle.
The effigy caught fire in the middle of the street
Peiris’ effigy was set on fire in the middle of the street, and the UN The majjar was also handed over by the general organizers at the regional office.
