The incident where a teenager dug a pit and buried 2 children who were born through an extramarital affair near Sankarankoil has caused a great stir.
Isakimuthu hails from Nochchikulam near Sankarankool in Tenkasi district. He is working in Chennai. His wife is Muthumari (38). It is said that he and Sasikumar from Vadanatham Patti got used to it. In this case, Muthumari is said to have given birth to a baby girl in 2018 through an extramarital affair and dumped it in a pond there.
Following a complaint lodged by a local village administration officer, the Chernthamaram police rescued and buried the child lying in a pond. They were looking for the mother-in-law in connection with the incident. Following this, it seems that in the year 2019, Muthumari gave birth to a baby boy again and buried it in a pit near her house.
Following a complaint lodged by Karuppasamy, a village administration assistant in the area, the Cherthamaram police arrested Thai Muthumari and Sasikumar from Vadanathampatti and remanded them in custody. Meanwhile, the people of the area demanded that the child be taken out of the place where the child was buried.
Following this, the police today brought Sasikumar from Palai Central Jail and Muthumari from Kokirakulam Women’s Prison to Nochi Pond to identify the place where the child was buried. Later, at the location they identified, in the presence of the Revenue Department and the medical team, the police dug the pit with a JCB machine.
The medical team took out the baby bone fragments from the manure bag inside the pit and examined them. The Chernthamaram police are investigating the incident. The incident in which a teenager killed and buried his 2 children through an extramarital affair has caused a stir in Sankarankoil.
