Today, Sunday, the General Secretariat of the Arab League asked that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria be preserved, and that all forms of foreign interference be rejected.

The Secretariat said in a statement obtained by the (INA): “The General Secretariat of the Arab League is closely following the rapid developments in Syria, as it is considered one of the most notable and risky times in Syria . its modern history.”
She expressed that “the current delicate stage requires that all Syrians uphold the concepts of tolerance and dialog, that they preserve the rights of all components of the Syrian society, that the interests of the nation be placed above all considerations, that they exercise responsibility and that arms are controlled to preserve them.lives and abilities, and work to complete the political transition process in a peaceful, inclusive and safe manner.”
The General Secretariat stressed that “preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of syria, and rejecting all forms of foreign interference, remain vital and essential elements of the Arab consensus regarding Syria that must be preserved and defended ,” asking the forces interested in regional and national reach. international stability to support the Syrian people through this difficult transition period, including by removing any sanctions to enable Syria to move towards a broader perspective.
She added,”The General Secretariat of the League confirms that it will not hesitate to accompany and support Syria,an Arab country with a long history and a great contribution to the path of human civilization,until it reaches the current situation safely.”
She continued,”In this context,the General Secretariat also renews its full condemnation of what the Zionist entity is trying to achieve illegally,taking advantage of developments in the internal situation in Syria,whether from occupying additional lands in the Golan or considering the termination of the 1974 withdrawal agreement.”
