The Arab Parliament is preparing to discuss the current situation and follow up on the action plan regarding Jerusalem

nbsp; Cairo – INA The Arab Parliament will hold the meetings of the second session of the second session in Cairo during the period from the 24th to the 28th of this month at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. A statement issued by the Arab Parliament’s media office, a copy of which was received by the (INA), confirmed that “the session will focus on discussing the current Arab situation in light of the grave challenges that the Arab world is going through, especially following up on the action plan of the Arab Parliament that it adopted in its emergency session regarding the repercussions of the president’s decision.” The American Conference regarding Jerusalem, which includes visits by delegations from the Arab Parliament to European and African countries to explain the dimensions of the Jerusalem issue and the repercussions of the American decision on the course of the peace process in the region. The statement indicated that “the session will discuss the Arab Parliament’s draft action plan prepared by the Palestine Committee to address the candidacy of the occupying power (Israel) for a non-permanent seat in the Security Council for the years 2019-2020.” The session will also discuss the Arab Parliament’s draft action plan prepared by the relevant committee. Chaired by the President of the Arab Parliament regarding removing the name of the Republic of Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism. It is scheduled that the meetings of the four Arab Parliament committees will be held during the 26th – 27th of this month, where the Foreign and Political Affairs and Arab National Security Committee will discuss its first qualitative report on the political situation in the Arab world, and the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee will discuss issues of Arab economic integration and unified Arab economic legislation and laws. The Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee will present the methodology for preparing the report on the situation of human rights in the Arab world, the situation of Arab communities in Western countries, and its report on immigration in the Arab world. As for the Social Affairs Committee, it will focus on issues of social development, especially education and refugees.
