Claudio Gioè, well-known film and television actor, will be a guest on the final evening of the Sanremo 2024 Festival. Originally from Palermo, Claudio Gioè was born on 27 January 1975. Claudio Gioè completed his studies at the Giuseppe Garibaldi classical high school before moving to Rome to attend the National Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he participated in seminars led by director Luca Ronconi. After his first experiences in the theater, he made his debut on the big screen in 1998 with “The Protagonists” by Luca Guadagnino, followed by prominent roles in famous films such as “I cento passi” (2000) and “La Migliore Giovani” (2003).

In 2012, he took part in the noir fiction “The Thirteenth Apostle”, and in 2013 he returned to Sicily for the series “The Mafia Only Kills in Summer”. In 2017, he reprized the role of Commissioner Michele Romano in “Undercover – The Capture of Zagaria”. Subsequently, he was the protagonist of series such as “Night Passengers” and “Lives on the Run” in 2020.
Success in Màkari
In 2021, he starred in “Màkari”, based on the novels by Gaetano Savatteri. The face and voice of Saverio Lamanna, protagonist of Màkari’s stories, are intrinsically linked to his homeland, Sicily. Claudio Gioè’s career is deeply intertwined with the narratives, panoramas and plots that unfold among the scenarios of this sunny region. His interpretation in “The Mafia Kills Only in Summer”, the well-known 2013 film directed by a fellow citizen, Pif (Piefrancesco Diliberto), was particularly intense.
