What inspired Kadhy Touré⁣ to write “Transform Your Dreams Into Success”? ⁣

Time.news⁤ Editor (TNE): Welcome, ⁢everyone, to our interview segment! ‍Today we have the pleasure of speaking with ⁣the talented Kadhy Touré, an actress, director, producer,⁢ and business manager who recently signed her first book,⁢ “Transform Your⁣ Dreams Into Success.” Kadhy, it’s a pleasure to have you with us today.

Kadhy Touré (KT): ‍Thank you⁤ for having me! I’m excited to be⁤ here and share my journey with everyone.

TNE: ‍You just launched your book at the 9th edition of the Sotigui ⁤Awards in Ouagadougou. What‍ was that experience like for ‌you?

KT: It ‌was absolutely incredible! The Sotigui Awards celebrate African cinema, and to have my book launch coincide ‍with such⁤ an important event⁢ felt like a full circle moment. Connecting with fellow artists and sharing insights about pursuing⁣ dreams made it even more special.

TNE: Your‌ book, ‍“Transform Your Dreams Into Success,” is divided ⁢into five chapters. Can you give us a brief overview of what readers ‌can expect in those chapters?

KT: Certainly! Each chapter focuses on different aspects of turning dreams ⁤into reality. The first chapter addresses the importance of having a clear vision. The following ⁢chapters delve into practical steps ‌like planning, overcoming obstacles, and maintaining motivation.‍ I‌ also share personal anecdotes and experiences from my career,⁣ hoping to inspire others to ⁤take action.

TNE: Those topics are incredibly relevant! You’re known⁤ for your work in films like “Marabout Chéri.” How did your experiences in the film industry shape the⁣ insights you share in your ‍book?

KT: The ‍film industry is a great metaphor for life. I’ve‌ faced ⁣many challenges and setbacks—just like any dreamer. Through directing and producing, I’ve learned that creativity and resilience go ‍hand-in-hand. Each project reminds me that success requires hard work, collaboration, and ‌sometimes ‌a leap of faith.

TNE: ⁢Speaking of challenges, what would you ‌say is the biggest obstacle you faced while pursuing your career, and how did you overcome it?

KT: One ‌of the biggest challenges I faced was the ‌lack of representation and opportunities for women in film, especially in African cinema. I had to push ⁤through frustration and ⁢prove my ⁤worth through patience and perseverance. Creating my own opportunities, like‌ directing my own projects, empowered me and opened doors ⁢for⁢ others as well.

TNE: That’s inspiring! As a business manager, how‍ important do you⁣ think it‍ is ⁢for artists to ⁤understand the business side of their career?

KT: It’s ⁢crucial! Many⁤ artists are passionate about their‌ craft but often ⁣overlook the⁤ importance ‌of understanding contracts, finances, and marketing. Knowledge of the business side allows creatives to advocate ⁢for themselves better and make informed decisions that can lead to long-term success.

TNE: You mentioned that part of your ‌book ⁢includes motivational aspects. What message do you hope resonates the most with your readers?

KT: I want readers to understand that it’s never too‌ late to pursue their dreams. Each person has their⁢ unique path, and⁣ embracing⁢ setbacks as learning experiences, rather than failures, is key. My goal is to empower readers to take that first step, no matter how⁣ daunting it may seem.

TNE: ‌That’s a powerful message! Lastly, ‍what advice would‌ you give to ⁤someone looking to turn their dreams into success but unsure of where to start?

KT: Start by defining your dream clearly! Write it down, ⁢break it into smaller, manageable ⁢steps, and set deadlines. ‌Surround yourself with supportive‌ people, and don’t be afraid to seek mentorship. Above all, believe in yourself‍ and stay⁤ persistent. Every small step counts!

TNE: Thank you, Kadhy! It’s ‌been a pleasure discussing your book‍ and insights into the world of dreams and success. We wish you all the best with “Transform Your Dreams Into⁢ Success”!

KT: Thank you so much! I appreciate the opportunity to share⁢ my story, and I hope ‌it inspires many others.
