Shahaf Sapir is the top scorer in the youth team of Maccabi Haifa, but he decided to leave the champion in the last two years in favor of Hapoel Raanana, after taking advantage of a clause in his contract.
The striker scored goals and scored five more in the green uniform, but he has received fewer minutes since Alon Harazi was appointed coach of the youth team instead of Bnei Lem, who was appointed coach of the senior team of Maccabi Netanya.
As part of the agreement between Sapir and Haifa, it was stipulated that if he did not play over 50% of the games, he would be allowed to leave, which he did. Maccabi Haifa commented on this: “This is a professional decision that suited all parties and we wish the player success.”
Maccabi Haifa’s youth team is in third place in the table with two points less than the leader, MS. Ashdod. Raanana, against whom Sapir scored in the Haifa uniform two and a half months ago (0: 3), is in 11th place.
