The list of 118 more martyred intellectuals was published in four stages. The government published the list of 560 martyred intellectuals.
On Sunday (March 24), Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque released this list in a press conference at the meeting room of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs in the capital.
The list includes teachers, politicians, social workers, doctors, lawyers, service workers, engineers, playwrights, musicians and cultural workers.
On April 7, 2021, the Ministry of Liberation War published the names of 191 martyred intellectuals in the form of a gazette. On May 29, 2022, the second list of 143 people and lastly on February 15, the list of 108 more martyred intellectuals was published.
There are 3 writers, a scientist, a painter, 54 teachers, 4 lawyers, 13 doctors, 3 engineers, 8 government and private employees, 9 politicians, 13 philanthropists in the list of martyred intellectuals of the fourth phase. Besides, 9 persons associated with culture lovers and other branches of film, drama, music and arts have been included.
