The Ministry of Interior announces a plan to manage city centers in all governorates

Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior announced a plan to take over the management of city centers in all governorates during 2024, while indicating that it will take over the entire security administration of the city of Mosul.

Advisor to the Minister of Interior, Saad Maan, told the (INA): “The ministry received the security file from six governorates, the last of which was Dhi Qar Governorate, preceded by the governorates of Wasit, Muthanna, Babil, Diwaniyah, and Najaf Al-Ashraf.”

He added, “The Ministry’s plan for 2024 is directed towards managing city centers in all governorates, for example taking over full management of the security of the city of Mosul in Nineveh Governorate,” stressing, “During the year 2024, all governorate centers will be managed by the Ministry of Interior.”

Maan stated, “The army has provided a lot, and it is time for it to be part of its recognized constitutional duties,” noting that “the government has provided great support to the Ministry of Interior, which has led to the development of the capabilities of the security apparatus, which has reached advanced stages, making it able to bear its responsibility in accordance with “For the Constitution.”
