KUWAIT CITY: The country is ready for the National Assembly elections with preparations and arrangements completed. All arrangements have been made for the voters to cast their votes freely and impartially. In connection with the conduct of the elections, various ministries have held a review meeting and coordinated the activities. The Cabinet also reviewed the election preparations. Vigilance and measures against influencing voters and buying votes have also been tightened. According to the final count, 304 people are in the competition. About forty members of the dissolved assembly and many former MPs are in the fray. Heavy campaigning is going on as so many people have come forward for 50 seats.

The Health Ministry has informed that 123 clinics will be operated in five mandals on polling day. They will provide medical assistance to the voters, candidates and executive officers at the necessary stages. Also, special facilities will be set up in hospitals across the country. The emergency medical team will be present throughout the polling day. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Civil Defense have also offered cooperation. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society has informed that they will be there to help the voters on the election day. The Transparency Society will also be present to maintain the transparency of the polls.
