Started a few days ago by the Tidiane Koita Foundation for Aid and Development (FOTIKAD), the campaign to distribute 30,000 bags of rice continues in Conakry and in several places in the interior of the country. This is to relieve needy people and families during this period of penitence (Ramadan).
After the communes of Kaloum, Matoto de Dixinn, the general coordinator of the said humanitarian foundation, Aboubacar Dorah Koita and his team were recently at the city of solidarity, located in Taouyah, commune of Ratoma where many families were relieved.
In total, hundreds of bags of rice were distributed to the needy.
“Here in the City of Solidarity, it is the rice issue that concerns everyone during this Ramadan period. Today, Elhadj Tidiane Koita, through his foundation, has dispelled this global concern. We can only thank him, because giving food to a miserable person at a price that we cannot imagine. We pray to God to guide the steps of this man who thinks of his fellow citizens,” said a beneficiary.
Questioned, Aboubacar Dorah Koita mentioned that this global campaign will affect several families this year.
“Today we are with the residents of the Cité de la Solidarité which is located in the commune of Ratoma. We came to provide our support to these families. I remind you that there are 130 families within this city of solidarity. It was therefore important that we come to the aid of these many families as we are accustomed to doing. Each family received two bags of rice, including the administrators of the city,” said the coordinator of the foundation, among others, before announcing that the same distribution continues in more places in the country.
