The Treasury of Gipuzkoa will reinforce with 86 technicians in Gipuzkoa for the Income and VAT campaigns

A total of 86 technicians will reinforce the campaigns of the Treasury and Finance Department of Gipuzkoa. The Provincial Council has called an open selection process for the creation of a job bank for medium technical personnel to support the campaigns of the Treasury Department, especially that of Income 2023, which will be carried out in the spring of the year comes.

All the information regarding the call can be found in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa of October 16, and applications may be submitted within a period of 15 business days from last Tuesday. For the execution of the temporary program, 86 places will be offered, which are roughly divided as follows: 10 of them will last six months, from January to June, and will work on the VAT and Income campaigns.

Another 30 will also last 6 months, but in this case from April to September, working on the Income campaign and resolving incidents arising from it. Finally, the remaining 46 will last 3 months and will work from April to June in the Income campaign.

To join the pool, applicants must pass a test, which will take place no earlier than December 1, and experience in previous campaigns will also be valued.

This annual call responds to the extra staff needs in the Treasury Department due to the processing of declarations, “thus guaranteeing an effective, agile and quality service”, since it allows “to have more human resources to the performance of technical tasks, customer service, resolution of incidents or consultation of doubts, among others,” explained the deputy of Treasury and Finance Jokin Perona.

In that sense, he has valued the work of the Income Tax team. In the last campaign, 67,250 telephone calls were received, “the highest number in history”, of which only 173 were lost, that is, 0.26% of the total. Of the 269,344 self-assessment proposals sent, 83.3% were accepted.

Finally, he highlighted the speed with which the returns were carried out: in the mechanized mode they were carried out in an average of 1.3 days; In the case of the proposals, they were made in 1.47 days; and, finally, in the telematic modality, 99.4% of the declarations were returned in a period of less than 10 days.
