Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that there was a conspiracy to prevent the 12th National Assembly elections.

He said that the socio-economic development of the people of Bangladesh has not been tolerated by many. So started such a plot.

He said these things while addressing a special extended meeting of the Awami League at Ganobhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister on Saturday (February 10).

The Prime Minister said that the Awami League leaders and activists have returned the people’s right to vote and rice by protesting. We are working for the welfare of the people. I established their rights.

He said, our development is up to the grassroots. So that no one in the society is neglected, we have planned accordingly and are implementing it. Due to which I have been able to gain the trust and confidence of the people.

Sheikh Hasina said, people are our only strength. There is one people’s organization in Bangladesh, that is Awami League.

Mentioning that there was a conspiracy regarding the election, the Prime Minister said that there was a conspiracy to prevent the election from happening. BNP did not come to the election and started arson and arson to thwart the election.

‘Because they knew, working for the people, the Awami League has gained the trust and confidence of the people. And if the election, Awami League will form the government. That’s why they conspired to thwart the election.’- He said.

Awami League president called on the leaders and activists to be united and said that everyone should work together. There should not be any kind of conflict between themselves. At this time, he urged the activists not to find fault with each other.

In the special extended meeting, the National Committee of Awami League, Central Executive Parliament, Advisory Council members, District/Metropolitan and Upazila/Thana/Paur (Municipalities located in the district headquarters) President-General Secretary of Awami League, Party and independent members of Jatiya Sangsad, Zilla Parishad and Upazila Parishad Party chairmen, party mayors of city corporations and municipalities and central presidents and general secretaries of allied organizations are present.
