The 37th Israeli government headed by Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu will be sworn in today (Thursday) in the Knesset plenum.
Timetable:
> 11:00 – Opening of the Knesset Plenum
> 11:25-11:10 – Netanyahu’s speech
> 11:40-11:25 – Speech by opposition leader Lapid
> 14:40-11:40 – The speeches of the factions: each faction has 9-15 minutes
> 15:00 – Voting on the election of the Speaker of the Knesset
> 15:20 – The elected chairman will lead the rest of the meeting and there will be a vote of confidence in the government + the swearing in of the government and the ministers
> 19:30 – Likud faction meeting
> 20:30 – The traditional photograph of the new government at the president’s house
There will be no exchange ceremony between outgoing Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu. The two are expected to have an overlapping conversation, most likely today or on Sunday.
