Former US President Donald Trump wins the primaries in Louisiana. The agency reported this, Day.Az reports with reference to TASSAssociated Press.
As the agency notes, despite the fact that Trump has no rivals in the Republican Party, the results of the primaries are still closely monitored in the United States. The former president’s main rivals – former permanent representative to the UN Nikki Haley, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy – previously announced their withdrawal from the election race.
The Trump campaign also published a post on Truth Social confirming Trump’s victory in Louisiana.
Trump has already received the required number of delegate votes to become the Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States. The current head of state, Joe Biden, who is running for a second term, has secured the support of a sufficient number of delegates from the Democratic Party. Thus, the fight will predictably unfold between the same candidates as four years ago, when Biden defeated Trump, who was seeking re-election to the highest government office. The US presidential elections will take place on November 5th.
