The Chamber of Commerce of Girona has hosted for a week twelve European technicians in sustainability who are part of the Empowering Green Entrepreneurship project. The training meeting took place at the Girona Chamber of Commerce and included guided tours of the city of Girona, as well as companies with sustainable projectssuch as the La Fageda d’Olot cooperative or the La Ballena Alegre campsite in Sant Pere Pescador.
The Empowering Green Entrepreneurship project aims to promote and encourage green practices among new generations of entrepreneurs. The project is aimed at newly created companies, small and medium-sized companies and new entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs, with the aim of providing them with ecological and digital skills, and to promote and develop among them a mentality that respects the environment.
Until the end of 2023, the Girona Chamber of Commerce, together with five partners from Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Romania, will promote the project, which aims to develop a green entrepreneurship guide on green skills and sustainability practices, build a free online educational platform containing educational resources developed by partners, with audiovisual support of inspirational videos, interviews and best practices and motivate and train in ecological practices and knowledge a minimum of 600 new and aspiring entrepreneurs, SMEs and newly created companies from the five countries.
