At the close of trading in New York, the index completed an increase of 0.68%, reaching an all-time high, while the index rose by 0.32%, and the index strengthened by 0.20%.
Among the leading stocks in the index today, Goldman Sachs (NYSE: ) stood out, which added 4.32% or 17.13 points to its value, and its price was 413.60 at the close of trading. Meanwhile, Home Depot (NYSE: ) added 2.81% or 10.80 points to trade at 395.21, while Caterpillar (NYSE: ) added 2.28% or 8.12 points to trade at 364.57 in late trade.
The worst performance was recorded by the Apple share (NASDAQ: ), which closed down 4.09% or 7.30 points, and traded at a price of 171.37 at the end of the trading day. IBM (NYSE: ) declined 1.09% or 2.11 points to 191.85 and UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: ) was down 0.54% or 2.68 points to 491.55.

Among the weakest stocks today were Accenture (NYSE:), which fell 9.34% and ended the trading day at 344.92, Packet-Set Research Systems (NYSE:), which lost 7.66% to 450.53 and Darden Restaurants ( NYSE:), which weakened by 6.51% and closed the trading day at 163.22.
The best performers today in the NASDAQ index were Cable Brands Innovations Group (NASDAQ:), which added 118.80% to its value at a price of 2.91, Yield10 Bioscience (NASDAQ:), which completed an increase of 78.85% and closed at a price of 0.44 and Curiosity Stream ( NASDAQ:), which rose 65.09% to end trading at a price of 0.96.

Index , which measures the implied standard deviation of options on the S&P 500 index, traded down 0.92% and closed at 12.92, setting a new one-month low.
The gold futures contract for delivery in April added 1.04% or 22.55 and closed at $2,183.55 per ounce. And more in commodity trading – crude oil futures for delivery in May completed a decrease of 0.46% or 0.37 and reached a price of $80.90 per barrel, while the May contract for Brent oil futures recorded a decrease of 0.41% or 0.35 points, closing at a price of $85.60 per barrel.
The EUR/USD pair lost 0.56% and traded at a price of 1.09, while the USD/JPY pair completed an increase of 0.26% and reached the level of 151.65.
The futures contracts on the US dollar index traded up 0.65% and settled at 103.71.
