Vaccini, “Moderna manages to defeat the delta variant”. I study
The Coronavirus emergency in Italy continues despite the numbers are constantly decreasing. Concern the delta variant, increasingly widespread throughout the country, at the moment 35% of positive cases contain the Indian strain. The vaccination campaign remains an unknown, after the contradictory messages from health authorities and the government, about the vaccine mix and the effectiveness of AstraZeneca. But an important novelty arrives from the US: “Moderna is effective against the delta variant”.
This is certified by a study by the same American pharmaceutical company that produces the whey. The laboratory tests – we read in Il Sole 24 Ore – leave no doubt and the study was published on bioRxlv: “Product antibody titers against all tested variants”. Antibodies are able to prevent the virus from entering cells. The study did not test the vaccine, but its effectiveness against the variants and although in small quantities, it is still considered effective enough to prevent infection.
