Violence erupts in protests – 72 lives lost in one week

Shocking news has come out that 72 people have been killed in the last one week alone in the violence that broke out in protests in Iran. Teenage girl Masha Amini was arrested for not wearing hijab properly and died in custody. A series of protests are being held demanding justice for his death. It has been reported that 72 people have been killed, including 56 in the western Kurdish areas, in violence against protesters in the past week alone. With this, the total death toll has increased to 416.
