Haredi children in Tehran, the capital of Iran, completed a sukkah tractate and celebrated with a mitzvah meal, together with the community’s rabbis led by Iran’s chief rabbi, Rabbi Yehuda Grammy. At the end of the meal, the children got up for sweeping dances, including the song “God we love you.”
The Chief Rabbi of Iran, Rabbi Yehuda Grammy, posted on his Twitter account that many children had the privilege of completing the Sukkah Tractate and wrote: “God will be horned goats, rabbis and leaders of the next generation and this is what in all the trials and tribulations strengthens and makes me happy.”
In addition to the younger generation that is developing when it comes to Judaism, in Iran there are kollels in Tehran, Shiraz and Isfahan. Rabbi Yehuda Grami gives Gemara study lessons and lessons for the Rabbinate and Dayanot course, Halacha and Mishnayot lessons, as well as Talmud lessons in proficiency and study.
Apart from Kol HaTorah, the rabbi established a glorious and functional kosher system, in the capital Tehran there are 5 kosher restaurants, in Shiraz and Isfahan there is one kosher restaurant in each city. There are 60 synagogues in Iran, but since the outbreak of the corona plague, most have closed, only a few have remained open with various restrictions.
Weddings and bar mitzvahs and alliances and celebrations, take place under Corona restrictions, and with all the great difficulty, the Jewish communities manage to get along and raise a generation of sage students.
