Yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon, police forces from the Jerusalem district worked to locate a terrorist who stated that he intended to carry out an attack like his despicable relative carried out last weekend, an attack in which three people, including children, were murdered and others were injured.
Following this suspicion that arose in the Jerusalem district of the police, operations were carried out using various technological means and within a short time police officers of the Jerusalem District Magistrate’s Station near the Ofer crossing on Route 443 arrested the shuttle bus in which the 22-year-old terrorist, a resident of Issawiya, was staying together with his brother. After they were identified , they were arrested and transferred to Shalem station for questioning.
To the request of the police, the Peace Court in Jerusalem agreed today and extended their detention by 5 days and the investigation into their case continues.
“The Israel Police will continue to act resolutely while using all the resources, means and capabilities at its disposal, with the aim of locating and thwarting any threat, planning and intent to carry out terrorist attacks against civilians or against the security forces,” the police said.
