Tamil People’s Alliance General Secretary K.V.Wigneswaran said that they can participate in the Independence Day events only if they get rights for Tamils.

At the same time, he has also welcomed the rally to be held from Jaffna University towards Batticaloa by declaring February 4th as Kari Day and emphasizing solutions for Tamils.
