Detectives from the Investigative Police (PDI) arrested a 45-year-old man, accused of being the author of the homicide of a person whose body was found on March 4 in Cerrillos.
According to what was reported by the civil police, the capture of the subject occurred during the afternoon hours of Tuesday.
The deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan Homicide Brigade, Mario Jara, revealed how the homicide of the victim occurred in Cerrillos.
“After various investigative measures, it was established that both had an argument motivated by jealousy. This caused the accused to hit the victim on his head with a blunt element,” the detective explained.

Jara recalled that after committing the homicide, the detainee placed the body in a plastic bag. He then left her next to the train line in Cerrillos.
As confirmed by the PDI deputy commissioner, during the day the alleged murderer will be made available to the courts. First it will be subject to detention control and later it will be formalized.
On March 4, after 1:00 p.m., a homeless person found the victim’s body at the intersection of Avenida Presidente Salvador Allende Gossens and Avenida Las Américas.
At that time, prosecutor Paul Martinson maintained that the body had a “date of death of 24 to 48 hours.”
