The tip of the forehead multiplies the beauty of women. Although there is factionalism over women’s tips. If the sri growing tip deviates from the proper place on the woman’s forehead, the sri sometimes takes the form of a vishri. Sometimes it raises questions.

Recently, the Instagram account of several big stars of Bangladesh is seen, tip has deviated from their forehead. For example, in one picture, Jaya is wearing a t-shirt. Leave the hair on the head. Light makeup on the face. Red tip on forehead. But the tip is out of place.

Rafiyath Rasheed Mithila and Nusrat Imroz Tisha are seen in the same form as Jaya. But why is the tip of the forehead not in the right place? Did it happen by accident or by design? None of the three stars took such a picture by mistake. Not only these three stars, but many other women have shared pictures taken in such a look on social media. And they all did it in a planned way.

Jaya Ahsan captioned her photo, ‘We women adorn ourselves by tipping our foreheads. On social media, we keep getting likes on our smiling faces wearing tips. But inside the house is the picture of all of us like this? One out of every three women in the country is a victim of violence. Their beauty is smeared with blood. The tip is slipping. Their dignity as human beings is falling. Let’s protest the violence against women. After removing the tip of the forehead, take a selfie. And share #OddDotSelfie on social media. Let the girls live in full human dignity.’

Rafiyat Rasheed Mithila and Nusrat Imroz Tisha gave the same message in a slightly different language. Mithila explains in the caption of the photo, ‘One in three women in Bangladesh is subjected to various forms of torture outside the home. This rate of violence against women is increasing every year. But not everyone is protesting in that proportion. Because in our society women are taught to quietly endure. But how much longer? We want every woman to break this taboo and raise her voice. Violence against women should be stopped through protest.

Tip is chosen as the language of protest. Referring to that, Mithila writes, ‘We have taken an initiative called ‘Odd Dot Selfie’ to protest against women abuse. Where as the language of protest, I have chosen the traditional companion of women’s dress, the tip of the forehead. Join this protest on social media by taking #OddDotSelfie.’
