A petition has been filed in the Madras High Court by O. Panneerselvam demanding the annulment of the resolutions passed in the AIADMK general meeting held last July.
The petition will be heard today as an urgent case before Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy.
The petition has requested to cancel the resolutions appointing Edappadi Palaniswami as the interim general secretary and removing O. Panneerselvam, Vaithilingam and others.
Edappadi Palaniswami was elected as the interim general secretary in the AIADMK general meeting held on July 11 last year. Supporters including O. Panneerselvam were removed from AIADMK.
In the case of O. Panneerselvam against it in the High Court, he was defeated. Following this, he appealed to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ruled in this case that the selection of EPS as Interim General Secretary will continue.
In this case, a petition has been filed in the Madras High Court by the OPS to cancel the resolutions passed in the AIADMK general meeting. In the petition, a request has been made to cancel the resolutions that removed O. Panneerselvam, Vaithilingam and others.
The case is listed for hearing before Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy. The hearing will be held today.
