India has refused to accept the World Hunger Index ranking, accusing it of a continued attempt to tarnish the country’s image.
The Global Hunger Index (GHI) is published every year after analyzing food shortages and malnutrition at the international level. Accordingly, India has fallen 6 places in the World Hunger Index for the current year, falling behind at 107th place. They mentioned that the condition of neighboring countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar is better than ours.
Opposition parties continue to criticize the central government following the release of the Global Hunger Index. In this case, India has refused to accept this ranking and has accused it of being a continuous attempt to tarnish the country’s reputation. India has also criticized the survey as being too small and misleading.
