The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board started the process of linking the Aadhaar number with the electricity connection number on November 15 last year. The deadline for this has been extended till February 28 (today). This ban ends today.
Minister Senthil Balaji said that 1.50 crore people have not linked Aadhaar with electricity connection number. Regarding this, Minister Senthil Balaji in Karur said, “Time has already been given several times. 2.67 crore people should link Aadhaar with electricity connection number. Of this, only 1.50 crore people have not been linked till yesterday (February 27) evening. All the rest have connected. This work will start this evening. will be completed. So those who have not connected should connect by this evening. No more time will be given.” This is what he said.
