Madurai: Yogurt prepared the day before yesterday was not supplied due to spoilage in Madurai factory. If found out, the problem is that 10,400 packets were kept hidden in a secret room. While milk, curd and buttermilk packets of Madurai are being distributed daily, for 20 days only curd (200 ml) has not been supplied due to ‘shortage’.
In this case, the yogurt packets prepared the day before yesterday were not supplied to the agents. A packet of curd will only last up to two days. As the chances of spoilage are high, the agents approached the officials of Aavin, who were nervous about what to do if those packets were supplied to them. When the officials questioned the employees, it was found that 10,400 packets of curd prepared the day before yesterday were spoiled and stored in 240 cans in a room.
A departmental investigation is going on to find out who is involved. The agents said, “While they were supplying 100 packets of yogurt every day, they supplied only 10 or 20 packets for 20 days. When asked, they say the production is low. There are suspicions that Aa’s employees are acting in favor of private companies. The truth will come out only if a full investigation is conducted.” I haven’t received any information about it being damaged yet,” he said.
